Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a wonderful fiance named JP as well as hapless father Henry. People know me best through my Instagram account @annephung. In this blog, I will share my life story. The highs, the lows, and everything in between. It was 1990 that my family relocated to America. At the age of one and a quarter I was able to join my parents. In order to give them the chance to have a successful future, I focused on achieving success and put in the effort in order to reach it. I had a plan to study to graduate, and then get an employment that was good. And then I wanted an empathetic wife and children. My plan for success was to attend college, graduate and get an employment in a corporation. Then I'd get married then buy a house, and then have children. Life had other ideas. 2013 was the year I realized I disliked my corporate position. While the pay and the status was great but I did not feel that the work was satisfying. It was more like I was simply wasting my time. In 2013, I realized that my passion was exercising. I also loved getting out and about to aid other people. In the process of pursuing this new direction in life, I found personal training. In this year, I am celebrating my 7th anniversary. In 2014, I launched my own company. Very few Asian women have a job in the world of fashion. As a coach, I want to make a difference through providing high-quality training that will help others become healthier and more content. It is my goal for me to help others chase their goals and live the lives they have always dreamed of. While my career was taking flight, I lost my mother. This loss is the worst of everything. She won her eight-year fight with Scleroderma. She is now resting in Heaven and I'll always have her close to my heart. There is a lot we can learn from our experiences, though we might not be able to see it now. My mother's death affected me greatly and I think she was the one who gave me another chance to live my life. She passed away at the age of 87 on Tet/Lunar New Year Day. It was the day she decided to start her new journey. I was given a second chance to live a happy and fulfilled life. The 30's are the only moment that I feel as if I am alive. As I share the story of my journey, it's with the intention that people are able to relate to my experiences and thoughts. It is to know that they're not the only ones. Also, that there exists true love. Therapy is necessary and not unusual. Also, the health of your body is the most valuable thing you have. My prayer is to live your every moment to the fullest and have a death be without regrets, as that's the only thing that we have to be confident about during this lifetime.
